For the last ten years 'LS Lowry' has been to every home game at Old Trafford. In fact we’ve become almost an Old Trafford institution. With the huge number of fans visiting Old Trafford travelling to and from the ground can be very difficult. What better way to cut out the stress of getting there than by joining us aboard the LS Lowry? We set off an hour before kick-off from Castlefield. The journey takes about 40 minutes, giving you time to have a couple of drinks and to discuss the game ahead. The barge moors just outside the North Stand. Then on the way back, while everyone else struggles with the traffic, you can sit back and celebrate. With most of our customers being regulars there is always a full boat so pre-booking is essential. Food: Before many games, depending on the time, our chef will prepare a pre-match meal consisting of a three course dinner. For European games a themed dinner is prepared in the tradition of the country where the foreign team is from. Breakfast is usually served on early kick off fixtures. Food is optional, but seating is reserved for people ordering food.
Sailing time: 1 hour before kick off. Departure: Outside 'BarÇa' Catalan Square, Castlefield, M3 4RU (By Lock 92) >Click here for map< Return sailing: 20 minutes after the final whistle.
A terrific experience! We just wanted to get in touch to say what a great time we had on the day of the Solksjaer testimonial and to thank you all for providing such a terrific experience getting to and from the stadium. We hope all is well with you and we're keeping our fingers crossed for a season as successful as the last one. Safe to say, the next time we head to Old Trafford, we'll get in touch with you straight away - surely it's the only way to travel! Best wishes, Nicola Gilbert and Garry Simpson ~ Edinburgh 15th August 2008
