We have teamed up with Manchester United Museum & Tours to provide a unique way to visit the world famous Old Trafford Stadium... 'The Theatre of Dreams'
During your charter cruise you will discover the world famous historic Manchester Ship Canal and Bridgewater Canal which this year celebrates its 250th Anniversary. From these canals you will have some of the best views of the exciting waterside developments from Castlefield in Manchester City Centre to Salford Quays.
This cruise departs from our base in Castlefield, Manchester City Centre. Starting on The Bridgewater Canal we sail to Pomona Lock, giving access to Manchester Ship Canal. In the lock the boat is lowered about 16 feet and then exits into the old Pomona Docks. Next a turn to port onto The Ship Canal heading 'downstream' to Salford Quays giving your first view of Manchester United’s 'Theatre of Dreams’ Stadium.
The boat then sails past spectacular waterside developments including Media City UK, the new home of the BBC in the north, The Lowry - Theatres & Museum, and The Imperial War Museum North. Returning via Pomona Lock onto The Bridgewater Canal, a short journey remains, before arrival at our mooring outside the North Stand.

DEPARTURE POINT - The boat cruise starts outside The Castlefield Hotel which is located opposite The Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) on Liverpool Road, Castlefield, M3 4JR. From the hotel main entrance you will see 'Castlefield Open Air Events Arena' and the canal arms. Walk down the steps (ramp available) to the canal where the boat will be moored. Arrived early? ITINERARY:
09:00 Boarding from this time. Tea, coffee, soft drinks & snacks available. 09.30 Boat sets sail from Castlefield for tour of Salford Quays. 11.30 Boat arrives at Old Trafford 11.45 Visitors book in and then receive souvenir lanyard and an official certificate. (audio guide optional). 12.00 Free time to explore museum and visit the Red Café for refreshments. (10% off voucher) 13.20 Stadium Tour 14.30 Free time in the Megastore 14.45 Boat will open the onboard licensed bar and is ready for boarding. 15.00 Boat departs for return journey to Castlefield 15.30 Arrive back in Castlefield

As part of the price, souvenir museum guides will be issued by the Museum tour official who will greet visitors on the barge in Castlefield.
